In salute to the perfectly entertaining Southern Miss Jeopardy round that was played at Revelry, I will phrase my response in the form of a question: Who is ?
You know, the trolley idea actually sounded ok. Was it possible to get downtown, eat and/or shop, and get back to campus in an hour? If I had still been there, I would have given it a try. There has to be a use for them -- could they be converted to shuttle buses for on-campus?
Good idea but poor implementation? Pushed through too quickly without thinking through the consequences? Already moved on to another project leaving someone to deal with the fall-out? Hmmmm....

I thought the suttle service for downtown was a fairly good idea, but I guess I was one of the few.
The best use that I can recall that those trolly buses were used for was during the 2003 NCAA Baseball Regional that Southern Miss hosted at Pete Taylor Park. They used them to shuttle people to and from the stadium to parking and used them to transport team members and fans to and from the visiting team hotels.
I always thought that USM could use them during football weekends to assist individuals who have a hard time getting around to and from the stadium to some of the outlying parking areas.
