IHL, stop the interferring and let USM get on with the business of education and scholarship which their faculty is so well equipped to do. Other Mississippi schools, private and public, are moving forward. You sat around and watched while this horrendous situation at USM unfolded. Please do something to help the demoralized and disenfranchised faculty in Hattiesburg. Other schools in the state seem to be operating in a business as usual manner. This item pertaining to the current Miss Mississippi from today's WLOX Website:
"And Jalin is more than just a pretty face.
She is a graduate of Mississippi College with a degree in chemistry."
Relatively minor successes like thi are routine for Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Millsaps, William Carey, Belhaven, and the other Mississippi institutions. They make no big deal out of it. Yet, even minor accomplishments which have occurred at USM during the past two years seem to be blown out of proportion and into undeserved "World Class" status. IHL, help the good folks down in Hattiesburg. Now. Before it's too late.
