The Roy Klumb remarks sparked an interesting debate amongst my near & dear. Is it really "low class" to refer to oneself in the third person, as Mr. Klumb is wont to do? I invoked the Miss Manners defense -- it can be done with a slight edge, in the interest of defining a persona. My opinion is that LVN probably _is_ Miss Manners. Foot soldier aspires to be as good -humored and polite as LVN and never to be responsible for sending LVN to the coach with a cold cloth. But I digress. "Low-class?" No. Pompous and full of hot air? Yes. As you can see, I will not get any politeness awardness.
