Next USM head has to love arts

"Personally, art has always been a stimulant of thought and I don't know how I would survive without it. That being said, I was reminded of the important decision that the university is facing in the selection of a new leader.

 While I could be selfish and want this leader to be "all about art," I do respect all disciplines and recognize their worth. However, I firmly believe that the current trend to depreciate art in this country is and has been a big mistake."
