Thank you, thank you to the person who went to the trouble to do this. I am reminded once again what heroes Glamser and Stringer have been, what eloquence Neil McMillen has, and how horrible it has been, and how the battle must be fought.
Got dumped off again, but I got to hear Noel Polk ("minions!") and Wilbur Moreland ("President Thames is not the university.") Go and listen, everybody. You especially need to hear Roy Klumb on tenure--the man is dangerous.

And what heroes Henry, Young, Polk, S. Malone, Forster, Weist, and many others have been. Unfortunately, reality is not just how horrible it has been but how horrible it continues to be. I could have never imagined the despair and depression I see all over campus--not just in COAL. I hope the heroes who are still around will continue to lead the charge. We need you more than ever--Noel, Myron, Amy, Mike, Andy. NO QUARTER!

Thanks ever so much for kicking this--I'm one grateful student who cannot forget.

Me too. I played it for the relatives at Thanksgiving.
While we're collecting money for the ad in the H-A and Noel Polk's presidential salary, perhaps we could collect money for to buy more band width for this site, so more people can listen to it more often.
OK we've had our little celebratory afternoon. Now, it is back to work. This is not about Dean Doty and it is not about the College of Business. They are but the most recent in far too long a list. There is a window here and we must take advantage of it. This is a failed administration. The Shelby Thames experiment did not work. Whatever you can do, whoever you can talk to. If we can offer the faculty some hope soon, we may be able to save this university.
Good Fight, you are absolutely correct. My hope is that all those alumni who didn't much like English and never took Sociology will wake up now that their own college is in the news. I don't think Dean Doty's reasons or machinations are all that important -- what is important is that he has opened that window you speak of.
If Crofts at the IHL were made aware of the Grimes and Doty letters, that help ensure that the good news does not die a natural death. Those who have access to copies should consider doing that.
