1. The latest e-mail from artsy contains an amusing thought: ". . .Wouldn't it be too funny if a power point presentation by the mill got on the next PUC agenda, and the entire staff went over to the Hub and did a presentation on things going on at USM?...."  Sounds great.  Need to e-mail Polly and get on an upcoming roster.  Thanks artsy.

2. No news on the "legal invasion" over at CBED.  compaq points out that HD has been "vacationing in Texas".  We'll have to wait and see.

3. More word on the recent report on SFT's wish to delay payments to retirement vendors.  Seems he would like to fold the interest earnings from such a plan into the grants and contracts tally.  That way he could mask any decrease in the growth of that tally, and supplement "friends" with MIDAS monies funded from these interest holdings.  Sounds like a plan.  Thanks to all ops working on this one.

4. More reasons to want JB's players in your classes.  NCAA standards rising, while USM requirements are falling (see recent mill).  As baller points out, given the good character of most of the players JB brings in ("....having JB's players before has never been any real problem, given his mentoring and their good character..."), these 101 ballers will be more likely to come to class and give good effort than the average 099 student.
