College Board search is proper

...I am writing, however, to correct two consistent errors in this newspaper's summation of the search process.

First, this paper likes to refer to the search process as Commissioner Tom Meredith's search process. Please realize it is the board's responsibility to select this proven search model - and that we have done. We charge Commissioner Meredith with its implementation.

Second, this paper makes a point that the recommendations of Mississippi State's Search Advisory Committee, an inclusive group of campus constituencies, were disregarded. This is inaccurate, as all recommendations were carefully considered.
