In attempt to make the threads a bit more orderly, I thought I'd move the discussion re: role of Faculty Senate from the Phillip Halstead thread to this one. Please continue the interesting discussion about the role of USM's Faculty Senate on this thread.
Wow, didn't mean to shut the discussion down. Either everyone has said their piece, or the thought of continuing on a new thread is too much.
Since I moved this discussion, I'll try to jump-start it here. What do you think *is* the proper role of the Faculty Senate in the current state of USM's administration? Should they be watchdogs or lapdogs? Barking at the Dome or vying for scraps? (other metaphors welcome!)
