My first reaction was, "Flawless? That's an awfully strong statement!" However, nowhere in the article is the Commissioner actually quoted as using the word "flawless." According to the article, he promises a professionally run search, not a flawless one. There's a BIG difference!

Ms. Brown has mischaracterized the Commissioner's remarks and attributed to him a very strong claim which he did not actually make, one which no one in his position would make. She should dust off her thesaurus, and then apologize.
