You know, as much as I despise SFT, I have to give him credit on one thing...he knows how to spin a story. I love how the idea of the $400 raises is totally attributed to him...even though we all know that it wasn't his idea initially.

educator,
Taxes is only a small part of what will be taken out of that $400 Didn't the health insurance premium for faculty members with dependents go up? I doubt there be enough left out of that $400 for coffee. But the high rollers - that's another thing.

Oops, sorry..that was the before tax amount. It's a symbolic gesture, at best.

I know what you are saying. It's just too depressing to really face. $400 is better than nothing, but it's about time that all faculty and staff get bumped up to at least regional standards.

I must really be out of touch. I interpreted the latest Thames act of magnanimity as an across-the-board raise of $400 per month, not per annum.

This ain't , AE! The sad thing is SFT thinks he is being magnanimous with the $400 per annum.
