"The search for a new president of the University of Southern Mississippi will pass its next milestone early next month when members of the state College Board hold a "listening session" with various campus constituencies to build a profile of a desirable presidential candidate, state Higher Education Commissioner Tom Meredith told the Hattiesburg Kiwanis Club Thursday.


"I'm putting my personal integrity on the line that this will be a professional, first-class search," Meredith said. "(Southern Miss) deserves nothing less."

So Meredith is getting yet another public dig at SFT by saying that Thames's search was neither professional or first class. Good for him. Things are looking up around here.
