Online Prof you should not let people on this board scare you. The way they treated you and responded to you should have proved why there needs to be a change. Whenever the small components of an organization start making up its own rules, as this chapter is doing, the chances increase that the whole organization will suffer. In fact, I would go one step further than you did and say that all bulletin board control goes through the national aaup website administration so that administration of members’ dues ensures only they get issued a password. Members would have to access their local bulletin board through the national website. This also gets around the comments that other members or webmaster will know who the posters are. It would matter little if the national administration knows who the posters are since they will know anyway when those members pay their dues and because they were elected. People here who do not pay dues should not be using the services paid for by other aaup members. My method will increase dues and get more recognition for the aaup.
You are not the only faculty member that feels the way you do—or at least used to. Please email me a copy of your proposal to doitmyway@hotmail.com. I have the filters set to receive email from onlineprof@myway.com.
**Note that deletion of this post or blocking my ip will serve as further evidence why this board needs to be member’s only.

Since some called OP a troll and said they would not respond to OP post, I had expected to hear from new posters with exactly the same philosophy as OP. It sure wasn't a long wait.
Online Prof has never provided evidence s/he is a professor anywhere, expect perhaps in cyber space. YeeHaw, has never provide evidence they are faculty either. Has OP used several names on this board? Perhaps Online Prof = ur confused= YeeHaw = etc, etc. = litter Seeker= ....whatever.
Anyway, if you have a topic to debat YeeHaw, present some logical arguments. You may get a response.
Yee Haw, USM needs your creative financial astuteness in their central administration. Perhaps they will invite you to particiate as a member of their $$$ThinkTank$$$.

Hee Haw,
The complexity of the system you describe is no less complex than that described by Online Prof. The addiitional ingredient you have added is an element of secrecy. Would you also have all of the local AAUP meetings held in some dark underground passage off-campus so nobody could see who was going back and forth, and require members to attend disguised with masks?
