SFT's campaign contributions

No surprise here but maybe it does explain why the USM Administration mirrors so much the behavior and tactics of the Bush Administration.  I thought it interesting (troubling?) that SFT listed himself as self-employed.  Info. from this website (these are only primary season contributions, not general election ones):

DR. S. F THAMES
DOCTOR
SELF-EMPLOYED
George W. Bush
$250

HATTIESBURG, MS 39402

The funniest thing about it ($250) is how cheap he is, especially with all the money he has.  The homemaker two lines above him gave $500.

This is very interesting. I check fundrace.org every two or three weeks. The last time I checked, the entry that now says "S.F. Thames at 3701 Jamestown Rd." said "Scott F. Thames at 3701 Jamestown Rd." I wondered about the entry then, because Scott Thames is one of Shelby and Shirley's sons. So who really made the donation? Makes you go hmmmmmmmm.

Who cares?  Now if somebody at that address had made a donation to the G/S defense fund, THAT would be interesting!!

Well, if it was Scott rather than Shelby, why did he use the president's house as an address?  Does Scott know that his Dad is donating in his name???

Are you a USM professor?  I wish I had that much time on my hands.

No, Angeline is a Karl Rove operative sent down here to make it look like the Kerry campaign is trying to make the professors look bad in the eyes of the public!

Anyway, I thought Scott Thames was a dentist, not a doctor.

Who cares who they support politically? I've known 'em for 35 years & I'd be flabbergasted if they didn't support Republicans. Most people in South Mississippi do.

Invictus,

I believe the puzzlement which was expressed in that posting concerned why the donor was listed as a self-employed doctor. I don't think the poster was emphasizing which party received the contribution.
