Mother’s Touch Daycare < Hattiesburg-area daycare facility for sick children whose future hangs in the balance (or upon a legal dispute between its operator, Dr. Nancy Weible, and USM). Hope this works out for the children.
Weible, Nancy M.D. < 1. Hattiesburg-area physician who says a dispute with USM harmed her Mother’s Touch Daycare business. She plans to take her complaint to state authorities. She alleges that a verbal agreement with Jane Siders, director of USM Institute for Disability Studies, left her responsible for rent and utilities on a building in which the Institute was operating a day care for infants with special needs. Thousands of dollars in equipment purchased by USM with grant money was left in the building when the program moved on campus. According to Lee Gore, the whole matter is just a business dispute and Dr. Weible just dreamed she and USM had a contractual arrangement (HA 7/23/2004).
The Provost < new reality tv show where USM President Shelby Thames narrows a field of potential candidates for the USM Provost position down to one, enlisting the help of sidekicks Lisa Mader (on the left) and Gregg Lassen (on the right).
response to Dr. Thames < replicas of e-mails sent to Shelby Thames by Noel Polk that are posted periodically on the message board at aaup-usm.org for USM crises followers to read and enjoy.
