As a reminder that the second weekly Nom d'aplomb will be announced this Sunday, my question will be related to Fireshelby board pseudonyms.

What was the affectionate plural nickname used to describle the Board monitor's children?

Oooh, I know, but I'll let someone else go for it.

Googler, It's past my bedtime.  Would you please give your "approval" to the poster with the correct answer and then pass the baton?

Thanks.

Ok, here goes:

Soon after the hearing, a poster, who only posted one time, I believe, wrote with a lot passion and emotion (and some anger) about how many of said whatever we wanted but hid behind our screen names. As a result, several other posters outed themselves. (I think LVN was first). Who was the passionate poster?

Wow, great question...there were a bunch of people who followed suit after that post.

A question, which maybe you will answer if people are stumped for a longish time, was the one time poster an actual name or a pseudonym and, if an actual name, did the poster refer to his or her own pseudonym in the post?

OK, here's your hint:It was the poster's actual name and I don't believe the poster had ever used a pseudonym previously. RP

Yes, it was Gary Stringer's daughter, but I don't know if she used her married name or not.  If she did, it was Amanda Stringer Sauer.

Can I at least get partial credit on that question? I really need to make an A in this course, and it would help my average. Please? Or maybe I can do some extra credit?

Retired prof will have to decide on your partial credit.  I hear he might have a car that needs washing, too.

Okay, here's a tough one: Who wrote the most limericks (ca. 10-12) on the limericks thread?

His rhymes were always in tune
with meters designed to lampoon.
‘Viola!’ he’d say,
in his anarchic way.
I think he was called ‘Leaving Soon.’

Bravo Tinctoris!

You not only win Trivial Pursuit
Competition was completely mute!
You've done it with style,
so gloat for a while.
Your limerick was really cute.

I'm not as good at this as leaving soon, obviously.

Next question?

This is probably too easy, but I like to see it in print as often as possible:

What was reported to be Shelby's least favorite childhood nickname?

It was Waffle Nose and already one of the Trivial Pursuit questions!  How about a fill-in for the second line of this old limerick...one of the first on that thread.

"There once was a slimeball named Tim

Sorry to get your gender wrong, Retired prof!  I meant that foot soldier might need to do a little car washing for extra credit.  No slight intended on the cleanliness of your car!

I think it's mine but no confirmation.  How about a question anyway.

What was the name of the rapid fingered court reporter who kept us all informed of the goings on at  the hearings?

I remember that press conference, Thames listed his new and humorous nicknames.  I believe he said,

"and my personal favorite, Dome Gnome."

Sorry about that, I just realized this thread was 3 pages & I have no idea who the court reporter was.

Maybe I asked this question wrong - not the official court reporter but the board name of the person who transcribed the happenings at the hearings to the FireShelby website.  Had a burger during the lunch break if I remember correctly.
