Didn't he graduate from MSU? This makes no sense--please clarify.
i think he's referring to msu and muw. for years there has been a debate about how you can have those two universities so close to each other. consolidation has been talked about for years. won't see it in my lifetime or klumb's.
“Within every program, MUW ensures a 12:1 student-faculty ratio and a personalized learning environment that comes to life in small classes taught by professors who care.”

Consolidation of State & MUW has been batted around before. Generally it ends when the person who proposes the merger discovers that all those little old church ladies went to "The W" & as a group of angered alums, they can do a bit of batting themselves!

What is Mr. Kleen trying to do? As if his statements haven't gotten the USM faculty upset enough, now he's messing around with MUW too. I wonder if the MUW faculty knows about this.

the radio broadcast was a "live remote" from Bryan Bldg on MSU campus. Roy also mentioned duplication of programs at all campuses, but again specifically mentioned MUS and State only 30 miles apart

It is IHL that approves program duplication. IHL is the final authority is such matters. The buck stops with the IHL. If there is any inappropriate program duplication, IHL should take the blame. The IHL, not the universities, are ultimately accountable for program duplication. If Roy is complaining about duplication of programs, let him take that up with the IHL. I am aware of a doctoral program which was given "flagship" status (or some such innane designation) by IHL when there were actually two such doctoral programs in the state. The IHL then turned right around and gave yet a third state school a doctoral program in that discipline. Flagship status my A**. Don't blame the universities, Roy. Take it up with the IHL.
