I don't think my first post was very clear. I meant, folks on this board have been predicting an organized effort to oust JB, and replace him with a "name" -- and this particular letter might be a template for that effort.
I especially love the reference in the letter to "all the excitement generated by the new basketball coach". Any excitement prior to games being played isn't exactly someting you can hang your hat on (at least for very long). I am just completely befuddled by anyone who doesn't understand that USM is unbelievably fortunate to have (and want to keep) Jeff Bower.
This definitely fits in with the "change for change's sake" kind of rhetoric that SFT is fond of....wasn't Ken Malone billing himself as a "change agent" recently? Perhaps we should add that to his Job Snowball...heck, he might even be named AD soon enough!
I wouldn't laugh too much about the Ken Malone AD comment. At my university in the mid-west we recently had a trusted (by the Pres) VP of Finance/Business Affairs be named AD!

When they named that VP the AD, wasn't it only supposed to be on an iterim basis? I remember reading about it in the newspaper a while back. I agree, Ken Malone could very well become the new AD!

AD=Athletic Director?
Heck, if that would get him out of academics, and off the coast, I'm all for it! No more snowballs though, it has to be a transfer! Now, would our student athletes be customers or employees?
