Southern Miss Graduates and Professor Chosen for Leadership Roles by State CPA Society
Hattiesburg—The Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) has elected two University of Southern Mississippi alumni and a professor emeritus as officers for the coming year.
Linda Bounds Keng, a 1977 Southern Miss accounting graduate, was elected president of MSCPA. Keng is an attorney with Watkins Ludlam Winter and Stennis, PA of Jackson, one of the oldest and largest law firms in the state.
Professor James R. Crockett was elected treasurer. Crockett was named theOutstanding Accounting Educator for 2005 by the MSCPA. After joining the Southern Miss faculty in 1987, Crockett served 11 years as director of the Southern Miss School of Professional Accountancy
Elected as secretary of MSCPA, Karen C. Moody, of Lampton-Love Inc. in Richland, is a 1981 Southern Miss accounting graduate. The MSCPA recently selected Moody as a CPA Ambassador to promote the profession within the state.

Truth & Left, I had that "pre-posting" thing happen to me the other day. The only thing I can think of is that possibly the two people send their posts at about the same time and one gets to ActiveBoard first. That's probably not what really happens -- maybe Invictus will figure it out for us sometime?
