How interesting that everytime a "new USM pride" something is announced, it's followed shortly thereafter by a statement of praise and "keep 'em coming." Life seems full of these little coincidences, doesn't it dearies?
Not to mention that Chauncey & Company start a new Pride thread each time rather than announcing their news on an existing thread that contains criticism of them and their propaganda.
Well dearie, we did ask them to start their own threads. Lets be fair. Must run. They're coming around with the cookies and jello, and then it's my nap time.
Three dedicated threads on page 1 and multiple links to Depree's website in unrelated threads is not fair enough?

Propaganda? Readers will be glad to know that information from the USM Budget, Google Scholar, the USM website, the AAUP Redbook, and other independently verifiable sources are now "propaganda."
Commentary and essays are labeled appropriately, and the presentation of material is footnoted. If the research world were full of Ed Nissans, the folks doing the documents at usmpride.com would win the Nobel Prize.
Folks notice that: 1) this is the second (or is it third?) thread with the title "USMPride", 2) The second post praising the website is only 39 minutes after the first post. Fast reader or shallow subject matter? 3) The purpose of all CoB post is just to stay at or near the top of this message board so all will remember CoB has problems. To do that you need many threads and many post with little or no content.

The meat of the case being made is at usmpride.com. Posts here are as notification/basic reaction only. Nice try, though.
Since you have time to critique, what do you think about Rod Posey claiming to have authored over 100 articles, 99% of which are yet to be found? Is he counting diary entries as publications?
Since all concerned parties know of the Pride site, is it really crucial to announce every update? I visit several websites daily, because I know the content changes. Surely alert readers of this board could use the "bookmark" function of their web browser and visit the site, just as they visit this one?
Notice the flashing ads at the top of the board? Why doesn't "USMPride" just purchase an ad and stop with all of the posts reminding us "Check the update to USMPride". Then all will be happy.
Why do you still have flashing ads? Get Firefox and a good security progam, and they'll go away. (I use Trend Micro, but since my child just went to work for one of the Big Guns, that'll be changing soon. When I complained, "but you recommended Trend!" the answer was "Trend isn't signing my paycheck." At least I raised the boy to be a realist.)
More material will be posted tonight. Will notify when finished. Thanks for keeping us at the top of the Board. USMPride readership from across the country spikes with the comments.

Suggestion to Dr.DePree. Start a new thread. Call it Pride's Latest or some other appropriate name. Post all of your updates on that thread. Do not clutter all other threads with your notices and responses. This would enable ALL that interested in your pursuit to easily keep up with your doings. I think it would also help your image and your reputation and I am sure you are astute enough to kick your thread up to the top of the board. Thank you for doing this. I do not drink coffee so there is no need for you to respond to me. Do it. It will be best for all.
I will be glad when they set up the registration for this Board. It will stop all of the posts by people using 20 different names. New Depree Procedure posts a suggestion that Depree limit his posts to one thread. It could be a reasonable request. The problem is, this poster has zero credibility since he/she create the name specifically for that post. He/she goes and posts under many different names so we have no idea how many times he/she posts. At least Depree always posts under the same name (his own name which is rare).

LVN, it's good that you don't see the pop up flashing ads. Some are sexually oriented. I was going to complain to the Moderator, but I guess the board needs the money and I'm not annoyed by them nearly as much as the all the redundant CoB posts.

When it is a choice between lovely young women and information about COB, you choose lovely young women. What if it is a choice between information about COAL and lovely young women? So many choices and so little time. Why do I think you might like the lovely young women more than a post about any college? I would prefer lovely young woman over COAL and COB. Now the really interesting stuff from COST is a tossup.
New information on USMPride.com: CoB EcoFinIB Evaluation Form 2006. By the way, the spike in readership referred to above includes an international audience. We are also gratified to hear from our readers.

An international audience. How many people are really interested in what you have to say? You have screwed this board up in a royal fashion. How can you not accept my above post and narrow your scope. If you have that many people that are interested in what you are doing, you should narrow your scope and not alienate the rest of us. Just don't tie up all the threads. It seems that you are desperate to make sure that you get our attention. You have it. If we want to follow your activities we can follow one thread. Quit invading.

The moderator does not see the ads either. The moderator also believes in security. The board does not get money from anybody. The ads make it possible for ActiveBoard to offer this for free. Did you think they were just being nice? If we want to we can have a "gold" level board that we pay for. People could contribute to it if they wanted to, but remember that he who pays the piper calls the tune.

Moderator, I meant the cost of the board had to be paid in some way, hence the ads. You should check out some of those ads because it does make the board look bad when a flashing ad says,"SEX, SEX SEX!!, You must be at least 18 to click on this ad". I'm happy with the board as is, except for the volume of CoB and USMPride posts.
I did make a sincere effort to look at the pride website, but Firefox doesn't like it. I keep getting some kind of error message and have to do cntl+alt+delete to get out of it. I don't want to see it bad enough to use IE.
Depree's site is a mess. You can not see half of it and is impossible to navigate. Technical assistance is really needed. Or, we leave it like this and folks will do like I have done and only have seen half of it. My info has come from other posts on this board.

TO: Moderator,
Am I interpreting your post correctly that posters could contribute money to support this web site? If so, please give out the information how that can be accomplished. If this board is going to require registration, I would be glad to donate money to the Board. Registration will stop much of the posting under six different names in one session that has become ubiquitous
