BOARD TO HEAR REPORT ON ECONOMY

The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) will hold its regular monthly meeting Wednesday, July 19, 2006, beginning at 8:30 a.m., in the Board Room of the Universities Center, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, MS. The full Board will convene at 8:30 a.m. and will then conduct business as a committee of the whole.

Various Board committees, including Educational Policies and Programs; Budget, Finance and Audit; Real Estate and Facilities; Legal; Compensation; and Strategic Planning will meet as part of the Board meeting. An Executive Session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

Highlights of the meeting include a presentation to the Board by Dr. Carol Twigg, CEO of the National Center on Academic Transformation, as well as a report on the State’s revenue and economy by State Economist Dr. Phil Pepper.

No reference to the outsourcing of Physical Plant.  Does anyone know if it is on the agenda/table for discussion?

Sounds like the Project Director will be the " President" of the coast campus.  The chain of command doesn't past through SFT.
