A N2Me Statement
Permalink Closed

On another thread N2Me said, "I am here to talk about the faculty who are writing smear letters in the local papers and to discuss specific and direct ways to stop it."

This is scary to me. Do you realize you just said you wanted to discuss specific and direct ways to stop citizens from exercising their constitutional rights?

Maybe I'm not reading your statement correctly. PLEASE interpret it for me so I won't be on your list of people who attack you.

I await your reasoned reply.

N2ME's telling response:

Because this is where the bad faculty are. It is here that I have to try to show them how they are hurting USM. I have to show them--and you--that you are putting yourselves before the university with your shallow smears in the local papers.

Now I don't know how N2ME defines bad faculty, but it is widly known that the AAUP is a haven for the most radical faculty members on campus. This is not to say that any professor in the AAUP is a bad or radical proff, but, you know.

Just out of curosity, how many members are in the AAUP at USM now, not long ago it was less than 120.

Have a safe trip Seeker. This reminded me that you never did answer my question from the FS board. You made a similar statement about "radical" faculty, but would never provide evidence or an example of what you considered radical. This is why we gave you a hard time about your assertions.

As a side note, N2ME doesn’t provide evidence for his assertion either. That was why many thought N2M2 = Seeker. Some say Seeker = Roy Klum, but that is in jest.
(I hope.)

Back in the 12th century they thought that women who had any type of independent thought and weren't happy to merely clean the house, raise the children, and cook the meals without any spousal help were Witches.  The faculty is now considered radical because they still believe they have the right to individual thought. Now, Seeker, you did state that you didn't think that all of us were radicals so I'm using your statement as a springboard for discussion rather than the center of an attack. SFT & C(r)O(nies) call us radical because we won't be quiet, quit thinking, and act nice. We are standing up to him because it is what is just and right. Besides, Who made the rules?
