The Management Team is only as good as the culture that it developed in.  As a friend recently described it, "too many home-grown tomatoes". 


Keep in mind that most of the outsiders (non-academics) brought in by this MT are already gone and that doesn't seem to have led to a decrease in bad management.


I don't agree with your premise that the "Management Team" should be held blameless. That doesn't mean you aren't asking illigitimate or irrelevant questions in this newest game.
