Seems to make a skin care product here in Mississippi that is being widely marketed. Good luck to 'em.

My guess is that MVV and the Dvoraks were associated through some business efforts, socially, or both. No hits running both names through Google.

I thought perhaps Van Velkinburgh had some kind of connection with the Thames administration.

But it looks as though he got to know "the Dvoraks" (as he said once in his comment) via Brenda Thornton.

So what would he know about the operations of a university?

Yep, shaving cream is gonna be the salvation of the Mississippi economy.

Now I'm not slamming anybody's business venture, but I'm still waiting for all those high-tech polymer companies to start hiring enough people in South Mississippi for me to start counting on my left hand. I'm still waiting for all this good economic development stuff to result in jobs for somebody other than a PhD who's married to another PhD who's employed by the state.

There are some people -- Angie Dvorak included -- who have a pretty strange perception of what life in Mississippi is really like. Maybe she needs to quit visiting with CEOs & politicians & go see what life is like on the floor in a plywood mill or behind the wheel of a forklift at the pole yard.
