I'm guessing the upper administration had nothing to do with this.
It sure is nice to see some positive PR about the Psychology Department. Hope this is also shared with the local community (H. American) and the Clarion Ledger.

I second Emma's post. The School Psych. program couldn't offer our students half of the wealth of experiences they come away with if not for your efforts over the years. Thanks for all you do for the program, department, college, and state of Mississippi.

I'm really impressed by all of this. It would be nice if the university would reward those for the work they do instead of simply exploiting them when it can make a good PR campaign . . .
Psychology has been a strong, research active, quality department since I have been at USM. I have served on many committees with PSY faculty and they always were professional even when they were wrong and disagreed with me. Thus, while what they did after Katrina is impressive, I am not surprised. One of the curses of being good is that doing extraordinary work becomes an ordinary event.
