Leaving certified mail at the post office to avoid dealing with a problem is the kind of really stupid thing someone does when they are totally unqualified for the job. If you take a look at Doty's resume, the highest position he held before coming to USM was as an associate professor at Syracuse, which is better know for its sports programs that its academics. If you have any doubt about that, take a look at his resume (which disappeared from the CBED website when a lot of people started pointing out that it is not "world class.") With Doty's level of mediocrity, resources will continue to be wasted, his cronies will continue to be rewarded, and Doty will continue to ignore anything that doesn't fit into his petty world view.

I'll be glad when Doty puffs his resume again and moves on, but I feel sorry for the school that hires him.
