Tulsa won the softball regular season title, USM finished 6th out of 9 teams. Memphis, who is fielding it's first softball team this year, finished with a near similar record as USM.
I am amazed that we have the same coach now in SB for the past six years who just turned in her fourth losing season. I guess mediocrity is to be rewarded here. She barely beat out a Memphis team who was just in its first year.
Before the year started, we were a veteran team (all four infielders were seniors) who wasn't going to repeat last year's losing season. So we go back out and put up a worse season this year and now, at the end of the year, our misfortunes are because we are a young team, whose future "is on the horizon."
