1. Some of artsy's outside contacts are reporting that various high school admins throughout the area have been advising some of their "USM acceptances" to consider other, better options. The most common story is that, for public colleges, those interested in liberal arts are being pointed toward Ole Miss, those wanting business degrees are given advice to check out either Ole Miss or Jackson State, and prospective nurses are being prompted to look out of state and check into LSU. Thanks artsy (and thank you outsiders for us).
2. Increasing stories coming out now indicate that LSM may not be the only idea producer regarding "things to do" at PC meetings. It is being reported that the "originator" of the PUC may be suggesting PUC/PC activities, including the Naylor exercises at the first meeting. Thanks grapevine.
3. With recent shakeups in the dome, SFT is reportedly itching to get KM into a high-level central admin job in the dome. Prospects include AD's position, and maybe even TH's position. One possible move we hear now is that KM could take AD's job, and HD would move into the position currently held by TH. That move might even put CEM into HD's current position, with CEM's job being left vacant indefinitely. This all seems odd, but stranger things have happened. Thanks gorod and domer.

Let me get this right: CEM would become DEAN OF CBED?? Pigs fly??
Then when the pigs land, the entire faculty of CBED could walk, open their own Business College and really give the economy here a boost. Or maybe WCC is ready to have a powerhouse school of business.

Please don't assail guru's "credibility." The posts are too entertaining to lose.
Guru plainly label's each post as rumor. They really are rumors. If you understand that, then you realize that guru is credible, not necessarily the rumors themselves. A "credible rumor" gets awfully close to oxymoronic doesn't it?
(Hmm, my spellcheck tells me "oxymoronic" is not a standard word. Well, it should be.)

Re: Guru's credibility, my personal opinion is that Guru is a sophisticated troll with his/her own agenda ..... however that doesn't mean that the rumors (which are clearly marked as such) aren't really going around.
