It seems to me that Provost Grimes has received little negative attention from posters. Many of us know of multiple incidents marked by poor judgment or bad character by Provost Grimes during his run as Provost A or B (or A & B). It is not inconceivable that he will serve in a transition role (or worse) under the next administration. Would any of you be comfortable with Jay serving as interim (or permanent) Provost in the next administration? Should this be a topic of discussion for the councils?

I just wonder how he sleeps at night knowing that he has seemingly given up all professional integrity, maybe even personal integrity. Surviving is one thing, but one still has to be able to look at oneself in the mirrow. Dr. Grimes, can you do that? And no, I would not feel comfortable with any of those currently sitting in the Dome remaining in the aftermath; not one!

"The good people sleep much better at night than the bad people. Of course, the bad people enjoy the waking hours much more."

I'm with Asleep at the Wheel on this one. Some folks say Joe Paul should stay, but I've heard too much from reputable people who have seen first hand how he sold out to save his job. Others say Cecil Burge should stay. Cecil surely is the best of them and retaining him would result in some continuity in the research area. Nevertheless, a clean sweep is the ONLY way to go.
Do you ever feel we are a micocosm of the larger political mess?
And that for this topic, it would mean the rats would start leaving the ship... like Norton, McClellan, Powell, etc. before it finally does go under...
