Thanks for this post.  My only concern about GURU was that s/he would not respond when people asked how to get information to her/him.  I enjoy reading the posts as much as the next person (whether they are true or not).  As others have noted, they are clearly marked "rumors," and therefore, I have no trouble at all with them.

The issue of credibility, then, is more about credibility within this board community rather than credibility for the rumors.  As I stated in another post, in this community, the standard is that when asked a question, you respond.  Now, folks may not like your response, but still, you give them the courtesy of a response.  So, Guru could've responded when asked about how to contact her/him:  "Sorry, you can't contact me"  or "Here's how to contact me"....something, ANYTHING is better than silence.  Guru's silence made me start to wonder what her/his true purpose was.  The post from Chess added to that doubt (but I have no insider information on Chess...s/he's as much of an enigma to me as to the rest of you). 

Therefore, my purpose in making that statement to Guru was to try and get a response.  And I did.  Unfortunately, Guru went on the defensive and threatened to stop posting.  Hopefully, Guru will change her/his mind about that tactic and will instead tell us how to get info to her/him.  If that's not possible, then perhaps we'll at least get some sort of explanation about the process.  Either way, my point was just to get more information from Guru (as s/he could provide) about the "rumor mill" posts (as others had requested).

Guru, I'm looking forward to hearing further from you.

I'm the only one with an email address with that domain name.  I can't divulge the source of the domain name; suffice it to say, I like being unique!  You're welcome to start your own domain...say, FireShelbyThames.com or FireShelby.com.  I doubt those 2 are taken!
