They have a book or two that Cook doesn't hold, and I might just drive down during spring break to get what I need from them.


Is the library functional?


Will it be open next week?

The Gulf Park library was heavily damaged (surge/flooding) and is closed and will not be opening anytime soon. The library services have been moved over to the USM Garden Park facility where the gulf coast classes are now being held. I do not know if they have any books there salvaged from the Gulf Park building. Contact info is online at: http://www.lib.usm.edu/about/general/departments/usmgc/index.php

Library fared well

Actually, of all the buildings on campus, the new library fared very well, relatively.


Books or periodicals, etc., are requested from the Garden Park facility and people make regular trips over to the library to pick them up and deliver back to Garden Park.


There was very little damage of shelved materials there. The room that was worst hit was the computer lab.


If there is a book there that you need, you will most likely be able to get it.
