Another horrible anti-faculty letter

I think it would be an excellent time for someone much more eloquent than me, to write a rebuttal explaining the concept of shared governance and it's importance to a university. Don't these people stop to think for a moment that a president is just one PhD...how could he/she possible know so much more than the remaining 500-600 PhDs?

I submitted a response several weeks ago to just such a letter, but the HA never printed it. I wish now that I had saved it before hitting "send," because it would have been a very appropriate response to this present letter. Maybe I will try to reconstruct it from memory and re-submit it. Letters like this one need to be answered.

Thanks, Emma for the phone call. Looking at this post infuriates me. It's stupid letters like this that completely illustrate the lower mentality of some of the Pine Belt residents. "Following" USM's commander in chief is simply a lemmings exercise. Kim Chaze will yell at me for responding, but somebody PLEASE write a rebuttal. If I wasn't in a pending lawsuit - I would.
