I am in the TCLS Gulfstream over southern TN as I type this. I am headed to Nashville, for my long-awaited visit with truth4usm. Will arrive in about 45 minutes, and will go straight to the Opry Hotel (I think).
Judge Cooley is back in Lansing now, along with my associate. We've all been there for several days with much to cheer about. Mrs. Cooley is pregnant! We all found out just a few days ago. He and his family are there now relaxing and seeing old friends. Don't despair, he's still on this task as well. Mr. Chain sent a nice bouquet of roses to Mrs. Cooley (he claims from the Rose Garden). The enclosed card was most excellent. Bobby quipped that if his store on Broadway were still around he would hire AD on as a stock clerk, even at $145,000/yr. He said you could count on the fact that she would put in a day's work for a day's pay delivering refrigerators around the 'burg. Too bad.
Well, I've got to buckle up now and get ready for landing. I'll pass along good wishes from you all to truth. I know she wishes she could be there. I'll be here through the week. Hope to report back soon.
RM, darlin, there ain't no South Tennessee. There's an East, a Middle, and a West. Truth is in "Middle" and I'm from "West." Tennessee is not wide enough to have a South. Nevertheless, somedays My Home State looks better and better. Give Andrea a hug from us, and keep up the good work. Tell the Judge his flowers faded, but the basket and sweet note will always be special mementos to me.

Still waiting to hear from the RM...I'm here on campus today, so give me a call when you can, RM! I'm sure we'll have lots to discuss...
(And, LVN, you are right about the "west, middle, east" business in TN. Took me a little while to get used to it, being from MS and all).

I thought "South Tennessee" was Desoto County, MS. Maybe even as far south as Grenada.
Even more offtopic: With the recent demise of Ronald Reagan, I am reminded of our courageous invasion of Grenada. The day after that the Clarion-Ledger ran a headline that read, "Marines Invade Grenada. Will Water Valley Be Next?"
