This is yesterday's HA article on Jasper Johnson winning the Howell Trophy.  Check out LE's quote, especially the comment near the end.  It's way out of bounds to insinuate that JJ was a D2 player at best.  Another stain on a USM rep.

Perhaps Eustachy also will find his level. Perhaps he will be as successful as Jasper. Perhaps SFT will win the Nobel prize. Perhaps I will win a beauty contest.

I agree, this board is a lot of fun to peruse. Nice to know so many are concerned with Coach Eustachy. By the way, James Green had his share of problem with Jasper also. I'm glad to see Johnson got his act together though.

Most of you on this board are just too funny.  You'd probably bi**ch if John Wooden was hired to coach at USM, just to gripe about something.
This board is now just pure entertainment; nothing more, nothing less

Jasper Johnson had 27 points and 15 rebounds in USM's only real win --- over LSU last year ---since Eustachy rolled into town.  I would say that USM needs some more lazy, problem types if that's what Jasper was.  JJ wasn't good enough, but Mike Ford and Rashaad Carruth were?  Unreal.
