Columbia is not in the final four, but General Eisenhower did plan a fine interstate highway system (MSU beat LSU in baseball this weekend 2 out of 3)

Not this year. But I think Columbia might stay in a Holiday Inn Express in front of a TV set Saturday night watching LSU's starting 5 which consists of (hold your breath) 3 Freshmen and 1 Sophomore.

To cite Dr. Meredith in his meeting with the AAUP exec committee: the two most important things a university President must do is raise money and appoint a good provost.

That word seems to have been slow filtering into the Hattiesburg community that sometimes seems to think that a university president's #1 mission is building a winning football program.
