Hey all!! I've been checking in through the day. Looks like this board is off to a good start.

Funny thing today, I googled my own name, and found a letter to the HA that I never knew they printed! Amazing -- it was when I was moving and didn't have the paper or my internet service yet. They never called or anything, guess Rich C. knew it was really me.

Keep the party going, y'all. I have some stuff going on and may be less active here -- hey, it'll give somebody else a chance to get a word in! Take care!

There seem to be people lurking. Lots of looking going on, if not posting. This is a start. Personally, I will not feel completely okay on this board until I hear from the Judge or his risk manager.

Post something outrageous truth4, and maybe someone will argue with you! (I can't get the icons to work yet otherwise I'd grin here.)

My "non-nebulous" risk manager just called to advise me that my last few posts on the old Fire Shelby board were getting too outrageous and "hateful." He said that a few good Sunday school lessons would do me wonders. Also, he assigned me a 500-word essay on the true meaning of "free speech," with at least 3 references to Bob Dylan or Randy Newman song lyrics (but to refrain from using "Mississippi" or "Short People" on my Works Cited page, as he's already heard enough of that from me).

Hello, friends! I am here, too, and I second everyone else's best wishes to LVN.

I will mostly be away from a computer from Friday to Wednesday, so, if you don't hear from me, it won't be because I've lost interest in the cause.

Special good wishes to FS. I just tried to log onto the old board, and the whole site is definitely gone now. I hope we will hear lots from FS now that his/her time isn't taken up quite as much but the duties of administering the old board. We all owe FS a huge debt for bringing us all together in the first place.

Thanks also, by the way, to the new webmaster here, whoever that person is!

I didn't know LVN was having eye problems. I'm very sorry about that. I liked LVN's sage postings on the previous board, and I pray for a speedy recovery. Mississippian in Exile is having visual problems too, you know: Specifically, he just can't see returning to USM at this time, given what happened to Professors Stringer and Glamser.
