Wouldn't even try to spin this. It's a fine accomplishment for the team. They now stand at 5-9 on the season. If they can beat Alabama, we ought to see a strong run from here and their record should quickly climb above 0.500 on the season. They will then have the chance to travel to Tuscaloosa and defeat the same AL squad again. Let's see.

No need to spin it for those who know what's going on. Alabama threw their 2nd or 3rd best pitcher tonight, which made the game more competitive. USM went out and won it, though. Good win for the Lady Eagles. Maybe that "toughness conditioning" on the obstacle course has paid off.

Great win for USM but you are right. Alabama did the same thing last week losing to Missouri State with their No. 2 & 3 pitcher throwing and then beat them 8-0 behind 18 strikeouts from the monster designated hitter from last night. But you are right, we jumped on them and took advantage. I am hoping this will lead to more wins down the road and an above .500 finish with an NCAA apperance. We have six seniors, this is the year to do it.
