Question for the board

So, do these individuals who keep posting on multiple, similar threads under multiple screennames not realize how blatantly obvious it is?  Do they think we are just that stupid? To not notice that they seem to be carrying on conversations with themselves?  Insight, anyone?

And who are you?  I've never seen your screen name here before.  Who are you having a conversation with?

A.  I'm yo mama.

B.  I just posted this question, so technically I am having a conversation with you.

C.  My screenname was a function of my question.

And it was only last year there was a weekly contest here for the most original names used......and multiple names were common.

my point was that people were using multiple names in order to spark debate and to troll, rather than for the heck of it.

Debate is good; it leads to understanding. A famous man once said.... "When all men think alike, no one thinks much at all."

If we all thought alike, there would not be any reason to think at all. We would all have to arrive at a new idea at the same time. Either that or we could use the SFT approach. "I will do the thinking around here Baba Louie".

This is a serious question. What exactly is trolling? If I say something provocative that someone doesn"t like is that trolling? Multiple post to stir up debate, trolling? I get the impression that if someone says something out of agreement with the board consensus-for example,"Thames is great"-he is called a troll.

I agree that it's really sad how Doty's minion(s) defend him by posting under so many names. What's truly funny is how Doty himself uses multiple names -- I can tell because he misuses the same word (one particular word) consistently in his posts that he misuses consistently in CoB memos and in everyday speech.
