I have no comparative data on any specific school other than my own alma mater, but I do know that small liberal arts schools generally produce a higher proportion of Ph.D.'s, M.D.'s, and J.D.'s than large state universities on a per capita basis.

Speaking of undergraduate pre- med preparation, who currently coordinates the USM program? At one time it was coordinated by a very effective woman who worked out of the old College of Science and Technology. She held an undergraduate psychology degree from Oberlin College.
