First of all, let me congratulate you on being elevated to USM's Chief Financial Officer.  I am confident you will devote all of your energies to your new responsibilities.

I am writing to you to request that you remove any and all signature authority held by Duane Harold Doty, Dean of the College of Business, over all employment and financial matters at USM.  His actions, over three years here, continue to jeopardize both our relationship with SACS/AACSB and his ability to find employment elsewhere. 

This action may be his only way out.  Please assign to him a three-course load with three preparations, and inform him that any and all economic development expectations faced by other faculty apply to him as well.
