#227 Lady Eagles lost to #142 UAB tonight, 71-68.  USM controlled the game throughout, and had about a 10 point lead with 4 minutes left.  UAB finished on something like a 20 to 7 run to win.


With tonight's result, McNelis now has a total of 30 losses at USM, with several contests remaining in just her second season on campus.

If USM men lose to UAB tomorrow, Eustachy will also have 30 total losses.  What an interesting competition we have before us.

To expand on this topic, McNelis is 17-30 in her tenure as the head coach at USM. In the past two years, McNelis' teams are 11-13 at home, 5-13 on the road, and 1-4 at neutral sites.

I believe Eustachy already has 30 losses. According to my best arithmetic and the stats from southernmiss.com, Eustachy is 18-30 at USM; 13-12 at home, 1-14 on the road, and 4-4 at neutral sites.
