The state coffers are bulging. Billions and billions of federal dollars are being pumped into the state and higher education salaries will be one of the main beneficiaries. Look for double digit raises for colleges and junior colleges.One legislator told me Barbour has guaranteed 15% over 3 years.

OK - that's a cost of living raise for the 5 years we have had none - when do we get merit raises?

Good question.  Why don't you take it up with good ole Ronny Musgrove,  since the dry spell occurred during his watch?  I'm sure he knows where the money went.

Ask your friends who teach K-12 where the money went. Musgrove spearheaded the multi-year teacher pay plan & the Legislature robbed Peter to pay Paul. Of course, funding that plan based on revenue estimates that included large amounts of casino construction tax wasn't very smart, either.
