Departmental votes?  What vote?  There wasn't a vote in my department.

As if it matters.

You ladies and gentlemen are about as slow as the State of Florida in deciding elections.

So, this overwhelming positive vote means that the 500 level courses will be offered online, but not the 600 and above?

Yes, if the faculty approves it on Friday.

As I understand it, 500 level courses are bridge courses to the MBA? That is, courses that satisfy the undergraduate business core or prerequisite courses? So there probably won't be that many students enrolled in these courses...what about faculty teaching loads...will faculty already teaching 3 courses be given the additional burden of one of these online courses with 2 or 3 students in them?

Right, 500 level courses are bridge courses and any particular section at any particular teaching site will have few students in them.  By putting them online, you can combine these multiple sections into one (with one prof).  My understanding is that it won't be an additional burden; it'll be "in-load."  If for some reason it isn't "in-load," the prof will be given additional compensation (like any ol' overload).

The COB vote is in, and the online courses were victorious 47-13-1.  Whoever made the prediction above was pretty much right.
