Let me see.  I can get my MBA without leaving my couch at UM, MSU, or USM, all for the same low price.  Which program will I choose?

Answer: USM for sure.  They might even throw in a PhD in Human Capital Development.

On a side note, these online MBAs are a risky business for schools like UM, MSU, and USM whose regular MBAs are still very little respected, meaning that if they take a degree mill approach the repuation of the program in general can and will fall.  If they take a quality approach, enough people may not sign up or stick with it to turn a profit.  However, I understand the incentive for short-term profit, or what seems like it.  I would like to see the revenues vs. expenses on all of these over time using GAAP procedures.

My understanding is that Dr. Trey McGarity, who is an ELR graduate and a protege of Dr. Ginn, is now directing these.

I hear that this COEP program doesn't even take two full summers if you make arrangements to come late and leave early. It even takes the cake over online programs.

I had a class under Trey McGarity. He should be directing something because he can't teach his way out of a paper bag.

I recall seeing on campus some automobile license plates from far away places and even extending to places such as Alaska and Newfoundland. I was told the vehicles with those tags were driven by enrollees in the USM education program that could be completed in two summers. Our programs in COEP must be very highly regarded from coast to coast. Otherwise, why would students pass by hundreds of universities and drive way down here to take their work at USM?
