The change in court date means that McCaleb will continue to play and Bower will be able to keep the redshirt on kicker Britt Barefoot.

It looks like that little stunt has already paid off in the Marshall game. Sometimes you have to rise above principle.

It could also mean that the plaintiff is having second thoughts about the whole thing. Or that the police didn't handle the case properly. There are many explanations. We don't know the details, simple as that.

By not knowing the details, we can assume the worst & make whatever polemical hay out of it we want. (And remember, I am a professional cynic.)

It might just be interesting if the next USM professor who gets booked for beating his wife or kid gets above-the-fold coverage in the HA. You might be really surprised.

to reinforce invictus's last comment--there was a usm faculty member charged with a federal offense in the last 6 months or so. didn't get mentioned in the american at all.
