MUW, Jackson St. foundations boost presidents' pay

...University of Mississippi Chancellor Robert Khayat gets Mississippi's highest salary as a university chief executive. He's paid $360,000 a year. This is $200,000 in state funds, plus $160,000 in private donations from the Ole Miss Foundation.

Mississippi State President Charles Lee is paid $350,000 a year - $200,000 from the state and $150,000 from the MSU Foundation.

University of Southern Mississippi President Shelby Thames earns $200,000 a year plus another $50,000 from the USM Foundation.

Delta State president John Hilpert is paid $175,000 annually with a supplement of $25,000 from the DSU Foundation. ....
