My university's library yesterday announced a massive "weeding" project designed to remove from the shelves duplicate copies of books, books not being used very frequently, etc.  This is being done to alleviate a growing shortage of storage space.  Although I am normally opposed to the removal of any books from any library, I am pleased to report that in this case the books being removed will be offered as donations to the library at USM Gulf Coast. 

Please know that all of you are in the thoughts of many people around the country.
