I hope someone will write a letter that speaks to the troublesome leaps of logic in this letter. Being the recipient of funds does not automatically mean that one can spend them wisely or equitably. Dr. Thames's focus on a few programs at USM at the expense of the many, his favoritism of incompetent cronies, and his alienation of a majority of faculty and staff do not point the renewal of a contract but rather away from it.
