To be considered sincere, your apology will have to be accompanied by a mess of catfish (I prefer whole). On your final point, you clearly have not yet achieved the age at which you forget faster than you can learn (there is a certain blissfulness in this state). I think Schopenhauer had something to say on this subject, but I'm too lazy to look it up.
