It seems that, although the IDV program changes its faculty hierarchy from time-to-time, except for Mark Miller no one ever gets out.  This is rather reminiscent of a street gang.  Now they have a new Director, and Butler is back on the faculty.  There is speculation the group is moving back to CoB in August.

IDV is not a street gang.  It's simply a low-level degree selling operation in search of a home.  They can put it back in COB, but that still doesn't change it into a rose.  Since it isn't a lot smellier than an "Executive" MBA, there might be some sense in making a whole section of COB into the stables.

Maybe if they put IDV back in the COB and made the COB offer the Malone-style Executive MBA, Doty would be kept busy enough that he wouldn't be causing so many problems for his faculty.
