A sports administration major is a "southern" thing. No, it is not. Ohio University (Athens); The Ohio State University offers a major in Sports and Leisure Studies with two tracks: (1) Coaching HS and (2) Sports Administration. Many other universities also offers these majors.

They do have them sissy indoor sports like ice hockey. If you further North they got water polo in the summertime at them fancy clubs.
